The Association
for Psychoanalytic Thought (APT) is an interdisciplinary group whose
membership consists of individuals from the clinical, academic, and
general community brought together by a common interest in the
psychoanalytic point of view. Founded in 1998, APT provides a forum in
which people can share this interest and deepen their knowledge and
experience of psychoanalysis as a perspective on the human experience.
Programs include explorations of clinical work, arts and humanities, and
everyday life. While a common vision fosters a close relationship between
APT and CPI, the Association is formally an affiliate of the Cincinnati
Psychoanalytic Society. It has its own executive board and forges its own
approach to psychoanalytic understanding.
